Port Adriano, October 2nd 2017.

“We run we care” was the slogan of the first Doggie Race of Port Adriano. A weekend dedicated completely to the canine world. The event aims to raise awareness for these animals, and spread more information among the pet owners about their needs and the responsibility that it is to take care of them.

This event, one of its kind on the island, was loaded with activities to enjoy unforgettable family and friendly moments in company of our canine pets.
From the informative talks by the veterinarian +Cotas and Dogma with many advices for the best care of our dogs, up to incredible exhibitions of Agility and Frisbee of the hand of MagicAgility and Dogfrisbee Mallorca. Also there were exhibitions of the Guide-Dogs as well as Police-Dogs officer, that was introduced by the agents of the Guardia Civil and the association La Polvora Negra..

But it was Sunday the most awaited day! More than 100 participants joined the solidarity race of 2km. An exciting moment stating thet itinerary from the central square of PortAdriano up to the beach of, to return along the port commercial district and back to starting point. Everyone at its pace.
Everything collected from the inscriptions has been in favor of the Association Peluditos of Sound Reus. This association centers their work on the adoption of pets and on the search of better resources and treatments to take care of our most faithful friends in need.
During the Sunday morning the association carried out a Dog-Walk of 12 dogs in need for adoption of which 4 were adopted and there are 4 more in process. Bravo for these families!
