Port Adriano brought the first dog race to Mallorca and on the 19th of October hosted the 4th edition of the Doggie Race. In total there were 100 participants.

Although the race is of a sporting nature, it is not competitive, as the aim is to raise funds for the Asociación Peluditos de Son Reus, for its commendable work in supporting the adoption of pets and the search for better resources and treatments to care for our most loyal friends. This association also had its own space within Port Adriano.

The race started at 11:00 and covered 2 km inside the port itself. Once finished, we were able to enjoy some talks on care and hygiene of our pets by the Dogma Shop. At 12:00 the Guardia Civil cynological service showed how they work with dogs in the detection of explosives and drugs. We also had a specialised veterinarian who was able to inform the attendees about the treatments, prevention and vaccination campaigns and resolved the doubts of those who were there.

Finally, the Association showed some dogs that were looking for a home.

We are already thinking about organising the next Doggie Race in autumn next year.
